Buckingham Safety Standards
Product Application
Our responsibilities, and yours, with regards to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are:
• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and the American
Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) address requirements for manufacturers of Personal Protective Equipment, as well as
guidelines for employers regarding the proper use of such equipment.
• We have prepared this catalog to help you select proper PPE for your employees. We also include detailed instructions on
the use and maintanence of PPE with each item we ship
• OSHA regulations, as well as, ANSI and ASTM standards imply, or require, that you are responsible for being fully informed
of all afety requirements, and the proper use of PPE systems. Employers are responsible for providing PPE to employees who work in
elevated positions or are at risk of a fall. They are also required to provide training for employees in their proper usage.
• You knowledge of your employees’ unique tasks and work locations along with our knowledge of PPE should enable you to
select equipment that, when used properly, will ensure the safety of your employees.

We guarantee the equipment we manufacture to be free from defects in material and workmanship. We will repair
or replace any equipment defective which is returned to us. This express guarantee supersedes all other expressed or implied
guarantees, obligations or liabilities
Safety StandardS
The Essence of the Aforementioned Statement is that Buckingham Mfg. Will:
• Accept new product returns up to one year after shipment if found defective
• Accept new and in resalable condition product up to one year from the date of purchase unless a specially designed product and
designated with a “Q” in the product number
• Upon its inspection and discretion, repair or replace defective equipment returned and deemed to be defective. If the defect is
found to be a fault of the manufacturing process or materials used in the products manufacture, it will be reworked or replaced at
no cost. If the defect is found to be a result or improper use, care storage, etc. and is repairable, it will be reworked at a cost
determined and based upon the extent or rework. If the defective equipment is deemed to be un-repairable, it will be returned
as received with a memo indicating the product is unsafe for further use and should be replaced. In addition, the defective
equipment should be marked to indicate it is unsafe for further use.

Buckingham Manufacturing Company has proudly served industries with
workers who climb wood poles, trees, towers and structures that support
electricity and telecommunications equipment for well over 100 years.
Whether for work above or below ground in these industries, we produce
safety equipment and specialty tools for work positioning, retrieval, fall
restraint, fall restriction, fall arrest and suspension work applications. Most
people do not think about the importance of work performed by Arborist
and linemen every day and until the power goes out, the telephone/com-
puter stops working or a tree falls on a house or power line. Our custom-
ers maintain and restore services in all types of weather. This catalog is a
tribute to these highly trained workers performing dangerous jobs with
little recognition!

Knowing the dangers of these industries, we make our products Buck Tough. They are designed for rough use and no
product is made without thorough testing and inspection. This includes the raw materials, in-process manufacturing and
the finished product.

When multiple standards can be applied to a product, Buckingham uses the toughest standard for compliance. And to
make sure we are up to date on standards we are members of ANSI, ASTM and CSA.
