NOTES
Gauge is not important to this project and you may use other weights of yarn. Just make sure you are using a
comfortable hook for the yarn you choose.
Make sure the smaller hook creates tight enough stitches so the fiberfill stuffing will not show through.
An I hook with worsted weight yarn should produce about an 18” blanket.
When working in rounds that are not joined, use the stitch marker to hold your place as necessary.
If you want a less noticeable decrease use “inv sc2tog” in place of “sc2tog.”

Keep working rounds in the same pattern - rotating R8 and R9 and increasing
the *to* repeat by one on even rounds. You will be working 2 hdc in the first hdc
of the increase of the previous round and working spikes in hdc and hdc in
spikes. Each round will increase by 8 sts. Work until you reach about 17.5” and
then proceed to border. You may switch to a different color yarn at any point
during the rounds. Blanket in pictures switched to CC at 13” circumference and
back to MC for last round and border.

EMBROIDERY
Embroider eyes with AC by sewing repeatedly over the
top of two stitches. Embroider between the third and
fourth and one stitch away from the snout.
Embroider the nose using AC and the diagram below.
Sew from the magic circle to the top of six sts of the third
round. Sew repeatedly (2 or 3 times) per stitch, except for
mouth stitch – sew only once.
FO and weave tail through last 6 stitches and pull tight.
Hide tail. Sew to blanket and overtop the arms using
leftover arm tails.
