RFA Registration Process

1. Make sure your business card information is accurate, especially your email address. You can check and update this information from the RFA Information Page, upper right hand corner, Edit Business Card Data
2. Click on register for RFA.
o Avaya associates enter Avaya as your user type and the job function that most closely resembles the job function you perform. For a list of job function descriptions, please click here. Your coach will automatically receive an Email that they must approve for you to become an RFA user. NOTE: Your coach's handle will display on the registration screen if one exists in POST. If the handle is not correct or if no handle is displayed, you must enter your coach's handle.
o Non-Avaya associates enter
§ Tier 1 Business Partner if you purchase directly from Avaya or Tier 2 Business Partner if you purchase from a Tier 1 Business Partner for your user type.
§ The GAI for your company. GAI's (Group Authorization ID) were previously distributed to BusinessPartner principles. Click on "Show GAI Name" to make sure you are entering the correct GAI #.
§ The company authorization email address your company has provided us will receive an authorization email. This email must be replied to before you become an RFA user .
3. You will be approved:
o Within 24 hours if you have been pre-registered
o For new registrations, you will be approved within 24 hours after your coach has approved you if you work for Avaya OR within 24 hours after your company authorizor replies to the authorization email they have received if you do not work for Avaya
4. After you receive your approval email you can
o Download the LIT and FET tools and associated documentation, if applicable.
o Click on Start the RFA Application from RFA Information Page.
Training & Documentation Information:
1. Training remains a requirement for new users or users wishing to access to a new product family. Training is now available as noted in paragraph 2 below. However, the requirement of passing an on-line assessment as part of authentication is no longer being enforced.
a. RFA assessments have moved to Avaya University’s website, http://avaya-learning.com and will become part of Avaya’s overall certification programs.
b. The existing training materials, Job Aids, Quick Reference Guides, Assessments and Practice Exercises are no longer available. At the RFA Home Page, existing assessment links will direct the user to Avaya University.
2. Documentation on RFA’s use is in the form of a Job Aid. This document is located at http://support.avaya.com. This is now the only required RFA Training material.
a. Chapters 1 – 10 contain generic information on using RFA.
b. Starting with Chapter 11, there is product specific information relative to RFA.
c. The existing Getting Started with RFA for xyz Product documents have also moved to http://support.avaya.com.
