ace season is well and
truly under way – just
one glance at our Twitter
account this Sunday was
enough to verify that. It’s
fantastic how many of you are out there
running 5ks, 10ks, halves, marathons,
ultras... and we love hearing how you’re
getting on. At
Running
we all have races
to train for and have really benefited from just chatting
amongst ourselves about what helps, what hinders and
just anything that might make a difference in our
training routines.
With this in mind, we stepped it up a bit this month and
went over to the Endurance, Performance and Coaching
Centre at St Mary’s University in West London to see how
they do things. Those guys know exactly what they’re
doing and, interestingly, despite a strict training regime,
they still manage to build in a fairly healthy social life –
they’re more like you and I than you might think! In the
coming months, we’ll be bringing you features written by
those in the know at St Mary’s and hopefully help you tap
into your hidden resources for some noticeable
improvements in your running.
We’ve also got all the usual cross-training, nutrition and
health advice, plus the latest kit news.
