This manual is designed to provide oral practice supplementary to Section II of
T.W.
Clark's "Introduction to Nepali" (Cambridge,
1963). The 27 chapters contain
dialogs1 narrative descriptions, drills, exercises, suggestions for guided conversation
practice, notes on the grammar and culture, and references to the grammatical
analyses in Clark's text. Appended are two supplementary reading sections. With the
exception of the grammar and cultural notes, the Nepali material is
presented in

the Devanagari script. Due to
technical difficulties this could not
be done with Nepali words nd
