You’re looking at the culmination

At the heart of every Passat is the ultra efficient and uber powerful FSI engine. It’s 30% more
fuel efficient than conventional engines because it doesn’t waste a single drop of fuel.
Its straight injection system pumps fuel directly into the combustion chamber in both the
Passat’s 2.0 Turbo, 200hp, 4-cylinder turbo engine and its 3.6L, 280hp, 6-cylinder. Less waste.
Less lag time. And that means lower emissions, lower L/100 kms (3.6L – 7.0L /100 km HWY,
4-cylinder – 6.8 L/100 km)*. What’s more, the 3.6L engine is mounted transversely to fit into
the same amount of space as the 4-cylinder, creating extra legroom inside the cabin. Faster.
