To root your Desire HD or Inspire 4G first download Advanced Ace Hack Kit -13102012.zip Then Extract it * Read the effen-manual carefully [effen-manual.html] * Make sure No antivirus software is enabled * Make sure you uninstall all software related to your phone or other devices* Make sure Battery is above 70% or More Then follow these Steps 1) Enable USB debugging from Settings-Application-Development-USB debugging Set the default USB connection type on your phone to “Charge only”. Do this at Menu- Settings- connect to pc 2)Install drivers from \Advanced Ace Hack Kit\tools\windrivers\HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe 3)Connect Desire HD/Inspire 4G to PC 4)Open the folder where you extracted the AAHK files. Run the script:Windows 7/Vista — Right-click on hack-ace.cmd and select “Run as Administrator” from the popup menu. Windows XP — Double-click on hack-ace.cmd. The script will work only if you’re logged in as Administrator. Windows XP Home — Double-click on hack-ace-xph.cmd. The script will work only if you’re logged in as Administrator. 5)enter the generated PASS KEY by pressing CAJUN.txt in [effen-manual.html] or you can find it in: \Advanced Ace Hack Kit\tools\txt\CAJUN.txt and press ENTER to start the process Go to Step 10 if you are not on android 2.3.5 6)Then press 1 the AAHK will check the version of your installed Android to see if is compatible, if is not compatible will automaticaly suggest to downgrade... type Y if you want to do it. RRU download will start .Wait until it downloads it When download is complete the process will copy required files to your phone SD card and the phone reboots in HBOOT. 7) If everything is fine will prompt you to press [Volume Up] to start the downgrade process.press volume up button 8)after successful downgrade press [Power] to reboot, the phone will start normally as first time with wizard to configure the basics 9)Now again follow step 1- step 3 -step 4 - step 5 10)Press 1(hack ace) and your phone will be rooted You will be informed when its complete :D Congrats you have sucessfully rooted your phone :D now you can start installing custom Roms.. if you dont know how to do it here a link check it out http://www.youtube.com/user/DeviceCustomizer/videos
