Don’t pretend you hate flash cars. If Rimac gave you the keys to its futuristic new electric ride you’d be gone in a lot less
than 60 seconds. Heralded as the “evolution of the hypercar”, Rimac claims that the C_Two does a walloping 0-186mph in
11.8 seconds, with a max speed of 258mph. If those numbers are true, Rimac’s newbie will become one of the fastest cars
in the world, gaining entry to an elite club occupied by the likes of Hennessey and Bugatti. The C_Two’s performance is
aided by an innovative battery pack delivering 120kWh energy, 1.4MW of power and exceptional thermal management.
It’s not a stripped-out performance car, either – premium materials and tech combine to produce something luxurious and
eminently usable. There are three high-def screens (cluster, central, co-driver’s display), and you can monitor the car’s
performance with real-time telemetry, downloadable to your phone or laptop. An advanced AI system, backed by a full
suite of safety tech (from evasive control to blind-spot monitoring), helps you handle the road. But beware: Rimac is
only making 150 models of the C_Two. Best move fast. Like, 0-186mph fast.

Editor’s letter
spring is here, and i have emerged from the long dark
with a determination to better myself. or, at least, to
better the things around me that i can paint or upgrade,
which will make me feel just as good.
For a start, we’ve got a guide to the tech and tools you
need to make some great home improvements, as well as
tips on how to make better use of the space. That’s on top
of the usual raft of smart home gear we always have,
including the current smart bulb ranges – always a great
start for a subtler home upgrade.
And then we’ve got all the new gadgets you can get.
I know a lot of people will be drawn to the phones (p90) -
they’re what we use most in the world, after all - but I’m
looking at the Dolby Atmos soundbars (p66) for my next
purchase. I want to focus on stuff that’s going to be an
immediate and obvious improvement over what I have now,
and the 3D sound of Atmos is definitely that. That said, I’m
also super-tempted by the amazing DJI Mavic Air (p98). It’s
basically professional-quality filming without needing to
spend crazy money, or know anything about filming. At the
very least, I can check the damage to my roof after my
home improvement jaunts go awry.
