SieFlash 1.2a (c) Copyright Armiliansyah Falsa (armiliansyah@yahoo.com) ============================================================================= SieFlash is a program to download/upload/copy Siemens flash (the phone data). Basically Siemens phone contains data in its chips to operate the phone. This data usually separated into some sections, some of them are: 1. Bootloader, 2. T9 data, 3. Images, 4. Menu language, 5. EEPROM, 6. Main program. The data structure might be different between each model. SieFlash 1.2a works on this phone data. It can download the data and save it into a file for later use, upload a file contains phone data into a phone, or read a phone data then write the data directly into another phone. To use SieFlash 1.2a, you need all of these equipments: 1. Computer, 2. Data cable (home-made, not from Siemens), 3. SieFlash 1.2a. First, plug the data cable into your comm port and then set the comm port max. speed (Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Communication Port -> Properties -> Max.Speed -> 57600). Turn off your phone and connect it to the data cable. Run SieFlash 1.2a and click the tab on which operation you want (Read Flash / Write Flash / Configuraion / About). 1. Read Flash -> downloads the phone data from certain location and size. 2. Write Flash -> uploads the phone data from a file. 3. Configuration -> set the right option such as phone model. When you read phone phone flash or a file, the buffer will be set to the data it gets. This buffer can be written again into a file or into another phone. After the operation finish or you want to use another phone, don't forget to push the Reset Phone button. This will disconnect your phone from the program. If not, your phone can't be turned on unless you remove the battery first. This only necessary if you want to unplug your phone from data cable before closing SieFlash 1.2a. SieFlash 1.2a only supports the phone models listed in the Configuration tab. Please do not use it on phone model which is not listed because it can damage the phone. March,5th 2003, SieFlash Author
