Instructions
Note:
This project can be stitched almost entirely
in the cover-stitch mode, or with the traditional 3- or
4-thread serger stitch.
Step 1.
From the primary fabric and each of the coor-
dinating prints cut one strip each 2

" x 30" inches.
Serge the strips together with

"-wide lace edging
sandwiched between strips as shown in Fig. 1.

Cut piece into four 6

Cut two 4" strips across the width of the pri-
mary fabric; piece together on two short ends to
make one long strip. Serge

Step 4.
Turn the lace-edged fabric to the wrong side
and serge the hem with cover stitch, or topstitch on the
sewing machine.
Step 5.
Divide the ruffle and pillow top each into four
sections and use as a guide to distribute the ruffles
evenly. With gathering foot or attachment, serge the
ruffle onto the pieced pillow top. Overlap the curved
ends as shown in Fig. 5.

next two sides.
Step 9.
Insert 14" pillow form and zip closure.

right sides together, and serge using 3–4-thread
