point is. people don't think of
puzzto games. Thula is the King of
the Game Boy, but you don't think
of it as a SNES classic.
That's why its really nice to see
Super Puyo Puyo and Tetds Battle
Oaiden this month. Both are excellent
games, with enough life in them to
easily justify the asking price.
Perhaps these two might
lead on to a whole spate of
puzzlers, all created with
simplicity, depth and
astonishing gameplay.
If the CES was anything to o
by. many companies have opted for
quality rather than quantity, which
is a far better approach. Better to
release one or two decent games
than bung Out ten crap ones. And
we're also starting to look at the
idea of violence in Nintendo games. V,
Syndicate and Cannon Fodder both ..,
contain a fair amount of gore, so
we thought we'd ask the creators
what they thought of the
anti-violence fuss. Find
out on page 30.
