Rod Halvorsen
has always been fascinated with
indigenous and ethnographic
cutting tools and weapons.
Extensive travel has given him
an appreciation for the blades of
various cultures, designs he has
been able to modify and explore
through knifemaking in his
own shop.
Greg Bean’s
stud-
ies of writing and history went
perfectly with his passion for
sharp, pointy things. He began
writing for

and the

while working for C.A.S Iberia.
Accomplished custom knifemaker
Vince Evans’
interest in his-
torical knives and swords keeps
him traveling internationally

Mike Haskew

Michael Janich

Concepts, he is also a prolific
knife designer.
Jordan Clary
is
a freelance writer and professional
blogger who became interested in
knives while visiting a primitive
tribe of knifemakers in Burma.
Pat Covert
started seriously
collecting knives in the mid-80s
and penning articles about them
in 1996. He has been writing
for
BLADE
and
KNIVES
since
2010.
James Morgan Ayres
has written over 50 articles for
BLADE,
as well as eight books—
four of them on survival, firearms
and knives. He served with the
82nd Airborne Division and the 7th
Special Forces Group (Green Be-

Don Guild
is a retired pharmacist
who had a chain of 24 stores in
California. He has written loads of
articles on art knives for
BLADE
and
KNIVES.
Evan Nappen
has dedicated his life to fighting
for gun and knife rights. He has
practiced law since 1988 and was
one of the first attorneys to ever
get a federal injunction against a
state gun law. He has written and
produced DVDs, and authored a number of gun rights
books, as well as numerous articles that have appeared
in national magazines. There, how’s that for the world’s
greatest knife writers?!
